Robinson Signs with Boise; Scottsdale AZ Update

All it took was one official visit, and Seth Robinson's recruitment ended nearly as quickly as it got off the ground.
Robinson, a 6-6 combo forward from Scottsdale C.C. in Arizona, signed with Boise State recently after visiting BSU from May 5-7.

Robinson was also slated to visit San Jose State, but he scratched that trip after his Boise experience, according to SCC Head Coach Paul Eberhardt.
"Seth is excited about Boise State," Eberhardt said. "He thinks he has a chance to be successful there."
A freshman qualifier from Phoenix, Robinson averaged 10.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. He shot 58 percent from the floor, 36 percent beyond the arc and 67 percent from the foul line.
Boise State has also landed New Mexico J.C. forward Kareem Lloyd this spring, and it's unclear whether Robinson will red-shirt or play for the Broncos in 2004-2005.
While Robinson is off the board, 6-4 swingman Mark Bunker and 6-1 combo/shooting guard James Fontenet are still available this spring.
Eberhardt said that Bunker has visited D-II Northwest Nazarene. Cal-State Northridge and Florida Atlantic had shown some interest in Bunker as a walk-on, and Cal Poly Pomona has expressed recent interest in Bunker.
A native of Scottsdale, Bunker averaged 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and three assists per game for the Artichokes in 2003-2004. He shot 37 percent from the field, 32 percent beyond the arc and 77 percent from the foul line.
Fontenet, Scottsdale's leading scorer in 2003-2004, averaged 18.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He shot 43 percent from the field, 39 percent beyond the arc and 89 percent from the foul line.
Eberhardt said that Fontenet's recruitment will likely continue to evolve in the coming weeks. Some Big Sky and West Coast Conference programs have shown interest in him, although it appears that Fontenet may be holding out for some higher level looks.
JUCO Junction will keep you posted on Bunker and Fontenet until they reach decisions. Stay tuned!
