Runnels took in the Creighton and Kentucky NIT Game Monday and liked what he saw from the Blue Jays. Runnels will be playing for the Creighton Blue Jays next season in the Missouri Valley Conference. Runnels scored 893 points and grabbed 484 rebounds in his two year career for the Jets. Wayne was a BI-State West All Conference player and Region II Player of the Year this season for the Jets.
Runnels averaged 23 ppg and 11 rebounds on the season. JucoJunction didn't have Wayne in the Top 150 this season, but he proved with his play he was one of the nation's best.
