New Mexico Junior College forward Cullen Russo finished off his sophomore season with strong numbers and now the Minnesota born talent is looking at visits. GI talked with him Monday night briefly.
"I am visiting Wichita State this weekend and possibly Minnesota the following weekend," Russo told GI.

Cullen has had a very long list of schools talking to him but many recruiting fans have been waiting to see what programs would connect with him the most at this point and so far the two have stood out.
Minnesota assistant Ben Johnson has been watching Russo since his days with All Iowa Attack and D1 Minnesota and he is the Gopher coach still in contact with Cullen.
"I've only been in contact with Ben Johnson from Minnesota so far. He's been in touch all year and has came out here a couple times."
Russo finished up a strong season with the Thunderbirds putting up about a dozen points and seven rebounds a game.
"The season ended up well, Cullen personally had a really good second semester," said Thunderbird assistant coach Brian Lohrey. " Cullen did a good job and the second semester was really good.
"The biggest part of his game that has grown is his game growing when he stays in the gym."
Russo has been in Iowa, North Carolina, Idaho, and New Mexico for prep school and college the past four years and now he's just relaxing waiting for the next step in his life.
"Everything's going great down here right now besides the weather," Russo said. "It's too wet, been raining all weekend!"
The last time Russo played basketball in Minnesota he was putting up numbers for D1 Minnesota's 17U program. Before that he was a junior at Bloomington Kennedy emerging as a prospect to watch.
There is a chance that he could return to Minnesota as a Gopher.
