Saints are marching

The southern tip of Illinois is near the Kentucky border. One program in Region 24 is off to a quick 7-0 start this season and are getting some great play out of a few different players. Read more about these Saints right here on your source for junior college basketball recruiting news.
Ryan Donald is just a freshman on the Shawnee Community College roster. The Saints are located in tiny Ullin, Ill. They are coached by John Sparks.

The Saints are a NJCAA D2 school with the talk of making the move to D1 status in the near future.
JucoJunction was quite impressed with the freshman Donald and some of his teammates last month at the Rick Ball Jamboree on the campus of the University of Southern Indiana.
"Ryan is a combo forward who's really strong and has the ability to finish at the rim and knockdown the three-ball," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. Donald is off to a quick start for the Saints this season.
Eddrick Bruce and Marcus Maxfield are both back from last seasons squad. Bruce is a wing player from Memphis who recently scored 34 points and grabbed 13 rebounds versus Mid-Continent JV.
Maxfield is a nasty power forward who likes to carry the blue collar role on his shoulders. "Marcus likes to play very physical on the floor," Maxfield hails from the Windy City of Chicago, Ill.
The Saints are looking to dance somewhere new in March and that would be Danville, Ill. this coming season for the NJCAA D2 National Tourney.
Stay tuned here all season long for the latest in basketball recruiting news.
