Cleveland, a Mobile, AL native, will join Troy Long and Ernest Watson next season in the Salukis' recruiting class. All three are from the junior college ranks. Long plays at Southeastern Illinois College and Watson at Trinity Valley College in Athens, TX.
Cleveland, a two-year starter for the Blue Storm, averaged 12 ppg this season.
"Mykel is a great get for the Southern Illinois University. He can really run a team quite well and can score the ball from creating his own shot on the floor," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Cleveland visited Jacksonville State University this past weekend and also heard from Bradley University this spring according to Harrington. Harrington just completed his 26th season at the Belleville, IL school located in Region 24 in Southern Illinois. JucoJunction will keep in touch with more action from Region 24 all this month on your source for junior college basketball recruiting.
