San Diego CC has hidden gems

Every now and then a player will slip under the radar of the many people that cover recruiting. It appears that has happened at San Diego City College, where there may be two players who are vastly underrated. JucoJunction has the latest on where these two players will head off to college next fall in this story.

Malcolm Thomas, (SO) 6-foot-8, is a transfer from Pepperdine University. Thomas is currently averaging 23.5 ppg and 12.7 rebounds this season for San Diego City. Thomas will stay in town next season and will play at San Diego State University. Thomas was a honorable mention pick last season at Pepperdine and made the all freshman team in West Coast Conference.

Jamel McGuire, (SO) 6-foot-4, will take his game to Cal State Fullerton next season. McGuire is off to 19.2 ppg this season after 5 games for San Deigo City College. McGuire signed with Fresno State out of high school and attended Florida Prep for one season after high school in California.
