Santa Fe has talented sophomores

JucoJunction had a chance to see the Saints of Santa Fe College this past weekend in Tallahassee, FL at The Southeastern Jamboree on the Tallahassee Community College campus. Head coach Chris Mowry will look to a few sophomores to lead his team this coming season after going 24-9 last year. JucoJunction takes a look at these sophomores in this article.
Chris Baez, (SO) 6-foot-5, is a transfer from Central Florida University. Baez a wing player prepped at Lee Academy in Lee, Maine after high school.

"Chris is a player you can't afford to leave open on the floor with the away he shoots from the perimeter," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Baez redshirted at Central Florida University in 2007-2008 and played last season. Baez saw action in 30 games and averaged 3.9 ppg in 14 minutes a game last year. Baez hails from Kissimmee, FL. Mercer and Louisiana-Lafayette are showing interest in Baez this fall according to coach Mowry.
Marlon Rivera, a (SO) 6-foot-2 point guard, is back for his second season with the Saints. Rivera averaged 8.2 ppg, 6.1 assists and 4.4 rebounds last season for the Saints.
"Marlon is a strong point guard who can really see the floor well. I really like the pace he plays at and he is always in control in the game," said Swanson.
The Saints have two foreign players that are both freshman in the program. Braninir Mikulic and Igor Premasunac will both see plenty of playing time this coming season for the Saints. JucoJunction will keep an eye on the Saints this coming season and keep up with the progress of these four players.
