Scouting report: Carl Albert State College

Carl Albert State College head coach Mike St. John had to walk away happy from what he saw this past weekend in Dallas. JucoJunction had a chance to see the Vikings play at the Mitchell-Mullen Jamboree this past weekend.
Gone from last year's team is 6-foot-8 Anthony Brown, who took his game down the road to Oklahoma State University. Brown averaged 21 ppg last season for the Vikings. But there is plenty of talent left in Poteau.

Calen Parks: (SO) 5-foot-10 (175) from Midwest City, OK. Parks averaged 6.3 ppg, 3.1 rebounds and dished out 4.9 assists last season.
"Parks the starting point guard for the Vikings really gets his teammates involved in the game. Calen is a solid floor leader," said Swanson.
Oskar Ernsteins: (SO) 6-foot-4 (205) from Latvia. Ernsteins plays the shooting guard position for the Vikings. Oskar averaged 9.6 ppg and shot 45.7% (65-142) last season.
"Oskar can really shoot the ball, he does need time to set his feet and some space for his shot," said Swanson.
Nigel Byam: (SO) 6-foot-7 (210) from Brooklyn, NY. Byam is an athletic combo forward who averaged 3.1 ppg last season for the Vikings.
"Nigel really has some good skills. He finishes inside and drove the baseline while putting the ball on the floor," said Swanson.
Jerusalem Strickland: (SO) 6-foot-6 (180) from Henryville, PA. Strickland averaged 3.2 ppg last season.
"Jersusalem is a combo forward that is very active all over the floor. He has really good footwork and a nice drop step move," said Swanson.
Danarius Robinson: (FR) 6-foot-9 (210) from Columbia, SC. Robinson played last season at New Horzions Prep in Blairs, VA. The Palmetto state native played his AAU ball with the South Carolina Ravens.
"Danarius is coming along still for the Vikings. He really needs to work on his offensive game. Danarius can really run the floor and alter shots on the defensive end," said
Swanson.
