Scouting report: Snead State CC

Snead State Community College in Boaz, AL has a nucleus of players back this season. Head coach Rodney Hampton has a reason to smile this season with the group of talent he has put together. JucoJunction had a chance to see Snead State play this past weekend at Kenn Littlefield's event in North Atlanta.
Gerald January: (SO) 6-foot-7 (185) from Macon, GA.

"Gerald is a very skilled wing player. He is a long and rangy athlete who brings the ball up the floor at times and just glides on the floor," said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
Gerald played some prep ball a few years back at Boys to Men Academy in Chicago, IL. January averaged 6.7 ppg last season.
Jerrell Boswell: (SO) 6-foot-0 (170) from Covington, GA. Boswell transferred in from Wallace State-Hanceville. The undersized two guard made (119-287) three-pointers last season for 41.4%. Jerrell averaged 16.4 ppg.
"Jerrell has a big time stroke. He has no problems creating his own shot from the two guard position," Swanson notes.
Brandon Bryant: (SO) 6-foot-2 (170) from Tuscaloosa, AL. The left-handed combo guard averaged 11.9 ppg last year.
Kordell Alexander: (SO) 6-foot-0 (170) from Pensacola, FL. Alexander hit for 12.5 ppg last season.
"Kordell is an undersized two guard who really likes to spot up on the wing and bury the three-pointer," Swanson commented.
JaJuan Jones: (FR) 6-foot-6 (175) from Douglasville, GA.
"Jones is a special player. JaJuan has the ability to put a team on his shoulders and carry them. He is truly one of the best freshman players I have seen this summer and fall in the JUCO ranks," Swanson said. "JaJuan is a long, rangy athlete who handles the ball so well at the point guard position. He has some freakish hops and can really slash to the basket when he wants to."
