Scouting Rodgrick Craig

Rodgrick Craig has chosen the hardwood over the gridiron and will be in Lubbock next year playing for Texas Tech.
Yes, San Jose (CA) City College (SJCC) forward Rogdrick Craig will next play for Bobby Knight. Craig has three years of eligibility remaining and committed to signing a Texas Tech letter-of-intent come the April signing period.

Craig is 6-5, 235 and looks like a fullback or a middle linebacker. He's a marvelous athlete--a quick jumper with excellent foot speed. At the next level, he'll need to demonstrate he can hit the 15-18-foot jumper to force defenders to play him straight up. This year, he has blown by and gone over defenders primarily inside using his tremendous quickness, agility and jumping prowess.
SJCC Coach Percy Carr, in a mutual admiration society gesture, commented that anytime he has a talent like Craig then Knight will be interested. Carr and Knight have known each other for 30 years.
Craig's averaging 21.2 ppg and 7.4 rpg, this season, shooting .553 from the floor and .756 from the foul line. He's 10 for 30 from three-point range.
He originally signed with Pepperdine out of high school (Valley Christian, San Jose, CA) but redshirted there and eventually transferred to San Jose City College. He'll enjoy sophomore eligibility status at Texas Tech.
