SE Illinois point guard commits

Desmond Stephens, (SO) 5-foot-9 (150) from Bloomington, IN, will sign this week with the Utah State Aggies. Desmond visited the college campus this past weekend and liked what he saw.

Stephens is a jet quick guard who led Southeastern Illinois College in scoring this past season at 17.3 ppg,4 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He shot 51.5% (83-161) from three-point range this season for the Falcons. Stephens played his freshman campaign at Olney Central College in Olney, IL where he averaged 12.1 ppg.

The 1st Team All-Region selection should see a great deal of playing time next year in Logan.

"Desmond was really excited about the chance to play for Coach Morrill. I really think it's a good fit for him," said head coach Todd Franklin.
