"Calvin Godfrey is headed to LSU," said Howard College assistant coach Jase Coburn. Godfrey started his college career at Iowa State University.

Godfrey is No. 12 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150. Godfrey will join forces with fellow Hawks teammate Shavon Coleman in Baton Rouge, La. this coming fall. Coleman is ranked No. 8 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150.

Godfrey averaged 12.6 points and 7 rebounds per game for the Hawks this season in the rugged West Texas Region.
