Second Butte player makes the call

Peter Simek has found a new home in Oroville, CA at Butte College. Simek played his freshman season at Southern Connecticut State. JucoJunction was on the road this past weekend in California and we saw Simek at the Nor-Cal Jamboree in Sacramento. The event was hosted by American River College. JucoJunction has the latest on where Simek will take his game next season in this story.
Simek, (SO) 6-foot-9 (245) from Slovakia, will join fellow teammate Pavol Losonsky at California-Irvine next season according to Butte College head coach Russ Critchfield. Simek played in 16 games last season at Southern Connecticut State and averaged 2.7 ppg. Peter played at Life Center Christian Academy in New Jersey prior to heading off to college.

"Peter has played tremendous this fall for us. He and Pavol are good friends. Peter will play the center position for us this season," said Critchfield.
Simek received interest this fall from Boise State, Cal State Fullerton and Cal-Riverside according to Critchfield.
The Roadrunners have a lot of solid pieces this season to make some noise in the Northern part of California. JucoJunction will take a closer look at them in the next few days.
