Second Itawamba player makes pledge

Itawamba Community College in Fulton, MS is ready to start its 2008-2009 season this Friday night versus Motlow State Community College in the PSP Industries Tip Off Classic. The Indians are coming off a (30-4) and a fifth place finish in the final NJCAA poll last season. The Indians are looking to win Region 23 for the third straight season this year under head coach Marty Cooper.

Theron Jenkins committed last week to Texas Tech University and this weekend Jason Marks decided to end his recruitment early. JucoJunction has the latest on Marks in this story.

Marks, (SO) 6-foot-5 (191) from Little Rock, AR, will take his game to the Southland Conference and Southeast Louisiana University next season after visiting the campus this past weekend according to Cooper. Marks averaged 5.6 ppg and 4.1 rebounds last season for the Indians. Marks expects to play right away for the Lions next season.
