Sierra prospect headed to Utah Valley

Jordan Swarbrick, (FR) 6-foot-6 (205) from El Dorado, CA, has yet to play a college basketball game. Swarbrick will be headed off to Utah Valley State College next season and will have three years left to play, and maybe four, depending on a NCAA appeal process for his injury.
Jordan comes from a strong family of athletes. His sister Jessica plays volleyball at national power Washington where she was a 3rd team All-American this past season. Jordan is currently 22 years old and started off at the University of BYU-Hawaii. He tore his meniscus early in practice and never played a game at BYU-Hawaii. Jordan then went on a Mormon mission to Central America for two years and enrolled at Sierra in the fall of 2006.

"Jordan is very hoppy and can play above the rim. He's a wing player that's a deceptive athlete," said Sierra head coach John Fusano.
Jordan visited San Jose State and Utah Valley State and received offers from both schools. Jordan didn't play this past season at Sierra because he tore his meniscus for the second time.
Jordan's teammates Matt Johnson and James Doran are setting up some visits for the near future. Johnson will visit Northern Arizona this weekend and Montana State is trying to set up something for the future. Doran will visit Eastern Washington early next week and Albany later in the month. Doran averaged 17.8 ppg this season while shooting 53.2% (74-139) from three-point range and Johnson averaged 10.2 ppg, 6.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists this season.
