Signing day delights

He's back again! And this time it appears to be permanent.
Western Kentucky pulled a slight rabbit out of their hat on Wednesday morning when College of Southern Idaho sophomore shooting guard Fredrick Edmond officially signed his national letter of intent to play for Ray Harper and the Hilltoppers.

Of course, there was that whole photo and tweet from Edmond on Tuesday night that kind of let the "secret" out and was later deleted. What a tease!
Landing the talented scorer was a three-year process that initially started when Edmond starred at Lansing (Mich) Eastern, then a year of prep school in Iowa at Kingdom Prep, and now over a year in the JUCO ranks at College of Southern Idaho.
That same three-year span has also seen Edmond verbally commit and de-commit from Western Kentucky on two separate occasions, with grades being the reason for the first setback and exploring other school options being the reason for the second pullback.
Tennessee, Southern California, and Morehead State were among the late offers he considered, but the persistence of the Hilltopper coaching staff over the last three years proved to be the difference in Edmond's decision.
The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 18 points and 6.2 rebounds last season at CSI as a freshman. He's already off to a hot start his sophomore season, blazing the nets at a 72% clip through four games this season.
