Small but effective

When you look at the John Wood Community College Blazers they for sure don't look like a big team.
The backcourt for the Blazers is made up of two returning sophomores in Jordan Johnson and Brody Gronewold.

Johnson, just 5-foot-9, starts at point guard for the Blazers. Johnson is a Waukegan, IL native who averaged 13.5 ppg, 3.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists last season. Johnson shot 45% (138-305) from the floor and 44% (61-137) from three point range.
Johnson helped the Blazers get to the NJCAA D2 National Tourney in Danville, IL. The Blazers finished the season at 23-11.
Gronewold averaged 12.5 ppg and 2.6 assists from the off guard spot. The Carthage, IL resident shot 47% (135-286) from the floor last season. Gronewold connected on 42% (77-184) from three point range.
This mighty duo will look to lead the Blazers back down the road on I-72 and I-74 to Danville this coming March.
