Spartanburg Methodist College Head Coach Jeff Brookman is starting his third year at the helm of the Pioneers program this coming season. The Pioneers return a solid nucleus back from last seasons 29-7 that went to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, Kan.

Monroe College finished the Pioneers season last season 67-61.
Ronell Crockett, Jalen Nesbitt, Travis Black and DJ Coleman will look to lead the way this season for the Pioneers. Crockett had a 27 point and 24 rebounds performance last season in the second round of the NJCAA National Tourney.
Nesbitt and Black will look to fill the role of wing and point guard on the floor this season with the addition of division one transfer Coleman from South Carolina State University. Black hails from Dublin, Ireland but played high school ball in Spartanburg, S.C. Coleman hails from nearby Sumter, S.C.
This season Region 10 in the Carolina's will have two teams headed to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, Kan.
The Pioneers will start their regular season in the 6th Annual Pioneer/Swanny's Classic on the campus of Spartanburg Methodist College on November 2-4, 2012
