The Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils go into the holiday break with a 12-4 record under head coach Ryan Mantlo. The Sea Devils have been led this season by sophomore Faronte Drakeford. The rugged undersized post player is currently averaging 21.1 ppg and 7.2 rebounds this season.
Drakeford informed JucoJunction that he has been hearing from Albany, Sam Houston State and Stony Brook this fall. "Faronte really has the ability to go to work inside the paint and can knockdown a 14 footer while facing up. Faronte finishes with both hands around the basket and can really create a mismatch against bigger post players with his ability to move and staying active in the paint," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
