Sophs lead the way

Lamar Community College in Colorado is currently 11-4 on the season under head Adam Schwartz. The Runnin' Lopes are led by four sophomores this season on the roster.

"Allen Tate is a very versatile player who can play the 1-4 positions on the floor," said Schwartz.
Tate is currently averaging 15.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game this season. Tate prepped out of high school at Sound Doctrine Christian Academy in Lagrange, G.A. for head coach Vacher Hammett.
Stephen F Austin, Northern Arizona and UMKC have shown interest all season long for Tate according to Schwartz.
"Arden Dennis is the team leader of are our squad is most of all a winner who competes everyday," said Schwartz.
Dennis a combo guard who is playing more point guard this season for the Runnin' Lopes. Dennis is currently averaging 13.8 points and 3.1 assists per game this season.
Josh Turner and Ron Waller are the two other sophomores on the Runnin' Lopes squad who are currently averaging double digits this season.
"Josh Turner has a great motor to go along with a very high basketball IQ on the floor," said Schwartz. Turner is averaging 14.1 points this season.
Waller started his college career at Southwestern Illinois College before surfacing at Lamar Community college.
"Ron's size and strength are a tough match up for opposing teams. He might be our most talented player on the team," said Schwartz. Waller is hitting 12.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game this season.
