Riley, a 6-foot-0 guard from rural Georgia, has played at USC-Salkehatchie the past two seasons.
"Brandon is a kid that can really go after and get his own shot and plays with a great motor at all times," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Riley visited Louisiana-Lafayette and South Carolina State before deciding on the Bulldogs.
"Brandon really wanted to be close to his mother and South Carolina State gives him a great chance to do that," Garrett said.
Riley beat out Tyree Graham from region rival Brunswick Community College for Player of the Year honors. Graham has signed on with UAB for next season.
Riley averaged 19 ppg this season for the Indians of USC-Salkehatchie. JucoJunction will follow the rest of Region 10 (North Carolina/South Carolina) all month long on your source for junior college basketball recruiting.
