South Plains prospect to San Diego

Luciano DeSouza, (SO) 6-foot-6 (210) from South Plains College in Texas, has signed with San Diego for next season according to assistant coach Charles Harral.

"Luciano is a great young man with a desire to get better as a player. He is very good outside shooter and has a tremendous understanding for the game. He is always looking to make the extra pass and get his teammates involved. I really believe he will be a great fit for the University of San Diego," said Harral.

DeSouza, a combo forward, is averaging 7.1 ppg and 3.2 rebounds this season for Texans. The Texans are currently 7-0 this year. DeSouza joins teammate Lu Griffin (Stephen F Austin) in signing this fall.
