Southern strikes juco ranks four times

Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA has been busy this summer. Southern has added four more junior college players to the roster for this upcoming school year. Nick Walls signed earlier this spring from North Dakota State College of Science. Head Coach Rob Spivery will look to improve on an 8-23 record next season. Marcus Brister from Weatherford College in Texas started his college career at Iowa State University. Brister averaged 14.1 ppg and 6.2 assists this past season for the Coyotes. Brister prepped at God's Academy under Head Coach Tim Miller before moving onto Iowa State. Brister spent one season at Iowa State. Brister is a 6-foot-2 point guard.

Bobby Lee, 6-foot-5 (190) from Carl Albert State College in Poteau, OK, had a great season for head coach Mike St John. Lee, a Willingboro, NJ, native averaged 20.4 ppg this season from the shooting guard position. Lee scored 931 career points in 54 games for the Vikings over a two-year span.
Quinton Doggett, (FR) 6-foot-8 (210) from Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, OK, will have three years to play for Southern University. Doggett, a freshman qualifier, averaged 2 ppg this past season in limited action for the Pioneers. Doggett is a Richmond, VA native.
