Spartans grab player with 3 years

Tony Dukes only needed one year of junior college to get to the four year level. JucoJunction.com found out today the sharp shooter will be sporting the green and white of the Spartans next season.
Dukes has signed onto play at USC-Upstate next season in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Dukes a 6-foot-2 guard played this past season at Atlanta-Metro College for head coach Robert Pritchett. Dukes led the Red-Eyed Panthers in scoring at 18.7 ppg this season and was second in the region in scoring. Dukes was named first team all-conference this season.

Dukes played his high school basketball at Morrow High School. He was named Clayton County Player of the Year coming out of high school. Dukes played AAU ball with Team Georgia.
Tony received interest from Jacksonville University and Mercer University before deciding he wanted to head to Sparkle City, USA next fall and play for Head Coach Eddie Payne.
