Spooner Makes it Official for Charlotte

The long awaited Dedric Spooner to Charlotte commitment finally happened on Wednesday.
Just two days after Colby C.C. ended its season at the Region VI Tournament semis, Spooner committed to Bobby Lutz's 49er program, according to Trojans Asst. Coach Chad Ostermann.

On Sunday, JUCO Junction spoke with Colby Head Coach Brian Ostermann, who said that Spooner was still in a holding pattern with his recruitment.
Spooner took an official visit to Charlotte back in late December.
A rugged 6-8, 235 pound power forward, Spooner was one of the top interior threats this winter in the Jayhawk West Conference. He averaged 10 points and 7.8 rebounds per game as the Trojans finished tied for second in the West and reached the regional tournament semis.
A native of Milwaukee, Wis., Spooner is expected to sign a national letter of intent with the 49ers during next month's signing period.
