Spotlight on Aiken Tech

Aiken Tech College in Aiken,SC competes in Region 10 with the likes of Brunswick Community College, Cape Fear Community College, Spartanburg Methodist and USC-Salkehatchie. The Knights will have to find a replacement for All Region Performer Lance James who graduated and moved onto Cleveland State University after last season. JucoJunction was in Marietta, GA this past weekend at Kenn Littlefield's Southeast Jamboree and saw the Knights play. Read more about them in this article.
Head Coach Bruce Capers left five players back in Aiken for disciplinary actions, including UNC-Wilmington transfer Jerel Stephenson. Stephenson, a 6-foot-4 wing player, averaged 8 ppg last year for the Seahawks. The Knights still seemed to fare quite well with a talented group of players.

Anthony Rapley, a freshman from Atlanta, GA, really made an impression. Rapley is a former Temple University signee for football.
"Rapley has a great motor and has an extremely quick first step," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson. "Anthony got to the rack whenever he wanted to and grabbed a ton of rebounds on both ends of the floor."
Khiry Clarke, (SO) 6-foot-9 (225) from Savannah, GA, joined the team last year at semester.
"Khiry is a quick leaper who can really alter shots on the defensive end. Khiry expanded his game this season by facing up from 15 feet in today on a few different occasions," said Swanson.
Clarke recorded 8 blocked shots last season versus Brunswick Community College. Khiry played in just 14 games last season and averaged 2.4 ppg, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks per game for the Knights.
Antrjuan Albright, (SO) 6-foot-2 (200) from Sylvania, GA, is a shooting guard.
"Albright is a strong two-guard who really likes to pop off screens and hit the three ball," said Swanson.
Albright averaged 8.5 ppg last season while shooting 48% (51-107) from three-point range.
The Knights will look to stay towards the top of Region 10 again this season with this solid trio of players. JucoJunction will keep you posted on the Knights this season right here for your source for junior college basketball recruiting.
