The Cougars only have three sophomores on the roster this season. Coach Sigona started the Collin County Community College program 22 years ago as has been the only coach. The Cougars will look for leadership this season from Danny Agbelese, Shane Rogers and Lamb Autrey for leadership.
Agbelese, a transfer from Clarendon College, hails from Washington, D.C.
"Danny is a shot blocker that can run the floor and he has a nice turnaround jumper," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson. "Rogers is a left-handed shooter and Autrey is a point guard who has a nice set shot."
Rogers averaged 7 ppg and 4.1 rebounds last season.
The Cougars will also receive help this year from two incoming freshmen. Aliaksei Patsevich and Ruben Cabrera will add some international flavor to the Cougars roster this year.
"Patsevich is a big-time shooter who already has committed to SMU," said Swanson.
Aliaksei will play just one season for the Cougars as he is an academic qualifier from Minsk, Belarus. Cabrera, a native of Puerto Rico, is also a qualifier who prepped at Marianapolis Prep last season in Connecticut.
"Ruben is a back to basket player who can step out and knock down the 17-footer," said Swanson.
The Cougars should have a very solid season under Sigona. JucoJunction will keep you posted on the Cougars all season long.
