Spotlight on Neosho County CC

The Neosho County Community College Panthers are looking to improve on a 16-15 record from last season under head coach Jeremy Coombs. The Panthers will play into two preseason jamborees that JucoJunction will be in attendance at this October. JucoJunction will see the Panthers at the Mitchell-Mullen Dallas Blowout and then the following weekend at Rick Balls event at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. JucoJunction takes a closer look at the four sophomores that should lead the charge for the Panthers this season in this article.
Antione Lundy averaged 11.2 ppg and 11.1 rebounds last season.

"Lundy, a Saginaw, MI native, is a very active rebounder on both ends of the floor," said staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Lundy, a left-handed forward, recently took a visit to Morehead State University according to coach Coombs.
Justin Fairman, (SO) 6-foot-5 (205) combo guard, is back with his second season with the club. Fairman, a New Orleans, LA native, averaged 8.7 ppg and 7.1 rebounds last season for the Panthers.
"Justin is a very athletic and versatile player who can the 1-3 positions on the floor. Justin is the team's best passer and defender and he is a complete all-around team player," said Coombs.
Tyrie Wooten, (SO) 5-foot-11 (185) point guard, hails from Saginaw, MI. Wooten transferred into the program this season from Iowa Western Community College.
"Anthony is a strong physical guard that has a good basketball IQ," said Coombs. Wooten will look to direct the Panthers offense this coming season.
Jahmal Burroughs, (SO) 6-foot-7 (215), transferred in from the University of New Orleans. Jahmal saw action in 20 games last season for UNO. He averaged 3.6 ppg and 2.6 rebounds in 18 minutes of actions last season.
"Jahmal is an athletic wing player who can get shots by pulling up or posting up. Jahmal plays with alot of energy and is a workhorse on the floor," said Coombs.
The Panthers are looking to make some noise this season on the Eastern Division of the Jayhawk Conference.
