Staying busy

Florida A&M University has signed three players from the junior college ranks in Walter Davis, Jamie Adams and Muhammad Abdul-Aleem.

Davis helped the Mott Community College in Flint, Mich. win a NJCAA D2 National Championship this past March in Danville, Ill. Davis, a Memphis, Tenn., native averaged 8.1 points and 8.5 rebounds this season while shooting 62 percent (123-199) from the floor.
The Bears finished the season at 35-1 under longtime Head Coach Steve Schmidt. The Bears won there fourth national championship under coach Schmidt.
Adams, a point guard from Chicago, Ill., played this past season at Colby Community College in Kansas. Adams averaged 12.9 points, 5.4 assists and 2.5 rebounds this season for the 19-12 Trojans.
Abdul-Aleem, a shooting guard, played at Georgia Perimeter College. Abdul-Aleem averaged 13.2 points and 7.9 rebounds this season for the 25-8 Jaguars.
The Rattlers added three junior college players to the mix and three different positions.
