East Mississippi Community College assistant coach Billy Begley informed JucoJunction that Colin Borchert will play at nearby Mississippi State University next fall.

Borchert is ranked No. 66 in the 2012 JucoJunction top 150. He recently took a official visit to the Bulldogs along with Xavier, South Alabama, and Georgetown.
"Colin felt he was a good fit for Mississippi State," said Begley. "Mississippi State was looking for a power forward who could stretch the defense."
Borchert started his college career at Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz. Borchert averaged 15.5 points, 7.6 rebounds this season and shot 38 percent (41-109) from 3-point range.
The Lions made a return trip to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, Kan. this past March under head coach Mark White.
