Staying put

Deciding to stay close to home and playing with a former teammate is always a good thing. One player from the southern part of the United States decided to do just that recently. JucoJunction touched base with Lawson State Community College point guard Worrell Clahar today and he informed us that he will be playing at Jacksonville State University this coming fall. Clahar had gave Texas Southern University a early ledge back in January.

Clahar a two year starter for the Cougars averaged 12 points, 6.9 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game this past season. Clahar will join forces now with former teammate Tarvin Gaines at the Ohio Valley Conference school this coming fall.
Clahar has played the past two seasons at Lawson State Community College after attending Sound Doctrine Christian Academy in Lagrange, G.A. for head coach Vacher Hammett.
