The Texans of South Plains College in Levelland, Tex. are currently 17-0 heading into Monday's game versus conference foe Frank Phillips College. Head coach Steve Green has a very well balanced squad this season.

Marshall Henderson has been to the NCAA D1 level before with stops at the University of Utah and Texas Tech. Henderson a shooting guard is currently averaging 18.4 points per game while connecting 45 percent (62-137) from the floor. "Marshall is a third year player with a very quick shot release," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Yanick Moreira is truly one of the best freshman players in the junior college ranks. The Angola, Africa native is currently averaging 12.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season for the Texans. He is shooting 53 percent (82-155) from the floor and swatting 2.5 blocks per game. Moreira is a member of the National Team in Angola.
The Texans have plenty of weapons on this year's squad. The test is truly ahead of them the next few months of conference play will not be any easy task at all.
