Eastern Illinois University and new coach Jay Spoonhour have wasted no time dipping into the junior college ranks for next season. The Panthers have added Keenan Anderson and Sherman Blandford to the mix this coming season.

Anderson, the post player from nearby Olney Central College, will have three seasons to play for the Panthers. Anderson was an academic qualifier coming out of high school in Marion, Ark.
Anderson averaged 4.1 points and 3 rebounds this season for the 25-8 Blue Knights. "Keenan is high energy guy," said Olney Central College Head Coach Mike Burris. "He loves to take charges and dive on the floor. Keenan improved greatly as the year went for us."
Blandford played at Marshalltown Community College in Iowa. Blandford averaged 10.3 points and 6.1 rebounds this season for the Tigers.
Blandford shot 55 percent (112-203) from the floor.
