New Mexico Junior College assistant coach James Miller informed JucoJunction today that Alex Phillips will take his game to Eastern Illinois University for next season.

The guard from Smiths Station, Ala. will have two years to play for the Panthers when he arrives on campus next fall in Charleston, Ill.
Eastern Illinois University plays in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Panthers landed Ronald McGee Jr earlier this week from Dodge City Community College.
Phillips averaged 7.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game last season for the Thunderbirds last season in Region 5 with the likes of Midland College, South Plains and Howard Community College to name just a few.
Phillips shot 44 percent (73-166) from the floor.
Phillips prepped at Sound Doctrine Christian Academy in Lagrange, Ga. under head coach Vacher Hammett.
