Sultan of Shot

JucoJunction has been to six junior college jamborees so far this month and we still have some more to attend this month. JucoJunction took in the Sultan of Shot during are travels this month. South Suburban College is located in South Holland, Ill. and is coached by John Pigatti. Pigatti has made great strides over the years with the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will look for leadership this season from Sultan Muhammad. The shooting guard was an academic qualifier out of high school in Grand Rapids, Mich. He averaged 14.4 points and 5 rebounds per game last season while connecting 44.5 percent (107-240) from three point range.
Muhammad has received an offer from Florida A&M and UC Davis has shown interest according to Pigatti.
Marcus Lewis recently played in front of Bradley University head coach Geno Ford at the Illinois Valley Community College Jamboree in Oglesby, Ill. The wing player played last season at Parkland College in Champaign, Ill.
"Lewis an academic qualifier out of high school in Streamwood, Ill. and can really attack the basket with his great body control," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. Lewis averaged 6 points per game as a freshman at Parkland College.
DeAndre McCamey played last season at Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Ill. McCamey, who's brother played at the University of Illinois, played at the legendary St Joseph's High School in Westchester, Ill. McCamey averaged 9.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game last season for the Blue Devils.
