Swamp Foxes Prepare for Camp

Waycross College is in just its second season of basketball. Head Coach Cory Baldwin will look to take his squad up the road to The Hoop Dream Exposure Camp in Jonesboro, GA powered by Kenn Littlefield Basketball. The NCAA evaluation period started today, Tuesday. JucoJunction.com takes a quick look at which Swamp Fox players are making the trip across the the state.
Josh Mendenhall is one of the eleven sophomores this season to play for Waycross College. Mendenhall a Berea, SC native averaged 8.2 ppg and 6.1 rebounds for the Swamp Foxes this past season at the Waycross, GA school.

Mendenhall is receiving early interest this summer from Morehead State,
USC-Upstate, Western Carolina, Alabama State and Florida A&M according to
Baldwin. "Josh has added a jump shot to his offensive game and has worked hard
all summer on his post scoring and academics" said Baldwin.
Tarrence Chatmon and Joe Williams both returned from last years squad. Chatmon averaged 3.4 ppg and Williams 5.2 ppg. "Tarrence is one of the hardest working kids I have ever coached. Once he gets his jumps shot consistant he will be a all league level player" said Baldwin.
Rico Lewis and Rachard Lofton will look to run the offense from the point guard positions this season. Lewis averaged 4.1 ppg and Lofton 3.3 ppg. The Swamp Foxes will have plenty experience this coming season and will be able to compete in the GJCAA Tourney next March. Waycross College sent four players onto the four year for this coming season after playing its first basketball season at the school.
