Gulf Coast State College now has two players committed for next season after this past weekend.
Jose Rodriquez took a visit to Kent State University and gladly accepted the scholarship offer after leaving campus according to Commodores assistant coach Jordan Carter.
The small forward from the Bronx, N.Y. averaged 10.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game last season for the Commodores. Rodriquez shot 46 percent (92-201) from the floor.
Rodriquez played in high school at Montverde Academy in Florida.
Rodriquez now joins teammate Zach Reynolds who will play at Northern Arizona University next season. Teammate Chad Frazier visited Washington State University this past weekend according to Carter.
