Derrick Barden was recently named NJCAA Player of the Week after recording his 19th double-double of the season for the Odessa College Wranglers.

Barden is ranked No. 20 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150. He recently went over 1,000 career points. The Detroit, Mich. native currently has scored 1,006 points for the Wranglers.
Barden leads the WJCAC Conference in scoring and rebounding at 19.7 points and 12 rebounds a night for the 21-5 Wranglers. Barden is the first Wranglers player to score over 1,000 points since NJCAA Hall of Fame/NBA player Larry Johnson.
Barden will see his recruitment all over the board as his career comes to a end next month and JucoJunction will be right there to up date you on his status when he decides on a visit or a school of his choice.
