Talent to spare at Olney Central

Olney Central College in Olney, IL is under the guidance of head coach Mike Burris. Burris is currently in his 4th year at the helm of the Blue Knights in Region 24 in southern Illinois. The Blue Knights have three sophomores who are leading the way for the team this season. JucoJunction had a chance to touch base with coach Burris on his players' recruitment updates today.
Ahmad Grant, (SO) 6-foot-3 (175) from Peoria, IL, is an off guard who currently has 969 career points at OCC.

"Ahmad is a long and athletic player who can explode to the rim," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Grant is receiving interest from Evansville-offered, Middle Tennessee State-offered, Northern Iowa, Cleveland State, Arkansas-Little Rock and Missouri State. Grant is averaging 15.7 ppg this season.
Jared Rehmel, (SO) 5-foot-11 (160) from Jasonville, IN, redshirted last season after a car accident.
"College coaches are worried by Jared's size but he is the ultimate gym rat and winner on the floor. You really have to watch him play to appreciate what he does for your team," said Burris.
Rehmel is currently averaging this season and has 936 career points while at Olney Central College. Rehmel is averaging 20.7 ppg this season while shooting 41% (69-168) from three-point range.
Ryan Daniels, (SO) 6-foot-1 (190) from Albuquerque, NM, is a third-year player that redshirted last season at Drake University. Daniels started his college career at Butler County Community College in Kansas.
"Ryan really can initiate the teams offense and can knock down open shots," said Swanson.
Lipscomb University has shown strong interest in Daniels this spring. Ryan is averaging 10.2 ppg and 5.2 assists this season.
Cameron Hall, (SO) 6-foot-3 (215) from Covington, TN, is currently playing behind three Division One players for minutes this season. Hall prepped at Sound Doctrine Christian Academy in LaGrange,GA. Hall is averaging 5.3 ppg at the 2-3 position this season.
Joe Wright, (SO) 6-foot-7 (230) from Marion, SC, signed back in the fall with South Carolina State University.
The Blue Knights are currently in 4th place in the GRAC Conference at (16-10) overall this season after defeating Wabash Valley College 82-68 last night. Southwestern Illinois,Southeastern Illinois and John A. Logan College are currently in front of the pack in the GRAC.
