Taybron plays the waiting game

It's the time of year that every action causes a domino effect in college basketball recruiting. Eastern Oklahoma guard Mario Taybron is waiting for one of those dominos to fall.
Taybron visited Oklahoma last week.

"He did go to OU, but they've got another kid in this week," said Eastern coach Jimmy Voight. "They have not offered. I don't know for sure if they will or not."
That other kid is Chris Walker from San Joaquin Delta College in California.
"I've been in this business long enough to know that if he was going to be their guy, they'd (Oklahoma) have offered him a scholarship," Voight said. "OU had him in, the kid liked it, but they're not showing their hand yet."
Taybron's fate very well could rest on Walker's decision. If he gets an offer from the Sooners, Taybron seems OU bound. If not...
"He's waiting ot see what they do because that's a significant dropoff from OU," Voight said. "You've got some other people that have called, but he wants to exhaust all possibilities. We've had some phone calls from some other schools that we consider to be good schools. It seems like everybody's looking for a guard, everybody's kind of scrambling."
UTEP and Kansas State were the two schools Voight mentioned he knew had called about Taybron, but the Cats just got a commitment from a high school guard as well. For now, Taybron is simply waiting.
