Taylor looking around state of Texas

Dwight Taylor of Lee College had a solid sophomore season for 16th-year head coach Roy Champagne.
"Dwight's a very good player, he was the third-leading scorer in Region XIV, so I think that speaks for itself," Champagne said. "The coaches voted him honorable mention. I've never seen a top five scorer in our league not make first or second team, so I don't know what that says. You'd have to ask them."

With the season over, Taylor is now turning his attention to recruiting. Like the league coaches, major programs don't seem to have taken much notice of the 6-foot-2 guard.
"I would say he's wide open," Champagne said. "He's got a lot of low-level people recruiting him, but that's about it."
Taylor has visited Texas State, and all of his current options are in the Lone Star State.
"Texas-San Antonio, Texas State, Stephen F. Austin, the University of Houston is dabbling," Champagne said.
Some school in Texas seems poised to land a solid scorer in Taylor.
