TCI forward stays in state

Shawn Hilliard, a (SO) 6-foot-5 (225) wing forward, has found a school for next season. Hilliard, a former player of the NYC Public League and Boys to Men Academy in Chicago, IL, has signed with Binghamton University for next season.
Hilliard plays at TCI (Technical Career Institute) in New York City and averaged 10.3 ppg and 6.8 rebounds this past season. Shawn averaged 14.5 ppg as a freshman. Hilliard, a Bronx native, received interest from Norfolk State and Hampton this spring before deciding on Binghamton.
Hilliard joins two other teammates signing on with Division One programs for next season, Stevy Gael to North Carolina Central and freshman Jamel Jackson to Seton Hall. Jackson also played at Boys to Men Academy with Hilliard for one year.
