TCI wraps up its season

Technical Career Institute has a few players this season that are getting looks from Division One programs. JucoJunction had a chance to see TCI this past weekend at Sullivan County Community College in upstate New York at the Region tourney.
Kevin White, (SO) 5-foot-10 (170), is from Brooklyn,NY.

"White, a point guard, is a floor general on the court and gets his teammates involved in the game. Kevin is a shifty player that can find holes in the defense," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
White has been offered by Maryland Eastern Shore and UC-Riverside according to TCI head coach Pernell Hosier. St. Francis (NY), Stony Brook, Binghamton and Delaware State have all expressed interest in White this season. Kevin played high school ball at Grady and Lincoln High School both in Brooklyn, NY.
Terron Stowe, (SO) 6-foot-3 (230) from Queens, NY, is a classic undersized post player and a perfect fit in the junior college game.
"Terron can really seal defenders with his wide body and gain leverage in the paint," said Swanson.
South Carolina State, Morehead State and St. Francis (NY) are all keeping tabs on Stowe this spring. Stowe attended Flushing High School in Queens and then prepped at Milford Academy in Berlin, NY.
Tevon McNair, (SO) 6-foot-5 (210), is a Brooklyn native.
"McNair is power forward that is sleek but has a build of a small forward. Tevon likes to crash the glass and get garbage baskets and fill the lane on the break while stalking the baseline for chances to score the ball," said Swanson.
St. Francis (NY), Iona, Longwood, and Norfolk State have shown interest in McNair according to coach Hosier.
Jamel Jackson, a one-time Seton Hall signee last season just recently wrapped up his junior college career.
Jackson, (SO) 6-foot-3 (200) from Brooklyn, NY, played at Boys to Men Academy in Chicago, IL after playing high school ball at Lincoln High School.
"Jamel is a crafty swingman who seems to have the green light anytime he wants it. Jamel can pull back on his jumper and create space on his shot," said Swanson.
Jamel was a first-team all-region performer and third-team all-American last season.
TCI head coach Pernell Hosier told JucoJunction that Marquette, Seton Hall, Southern California, Kansas State and UAB are the schools recruiting Jackson this spring. Jackson averaged 24.5 ppg as a freshman for the Generals.
TCI has completed its season after this past weekend with a defeat to ASA Institute. JucoJunction will keep you posted on the four sophomores at TCI and where their recruitment will take them in the future.
