Team focus: American River College

American River College is currently 8-5 on the season. American River College is located in Sacramento. Head coach Mark Giorgi has some promising sophomores and a very talented freshman. Coach Giorgi had a chance to touch base with JucoJunction this week.
Michael Selling: (SO) 6-foot-7 (230) from Folsom, CA. Selling is a left-handed power forward who is in his third year at American River College. South Florida, UC-Santa Barbara, California-Riverside, Boise State and Cal State Fullerton have shown interest in the four man. Selling is getting 10.5 ppg and 6 rebounds a night for the Beavers.

Nelson Ekeh: (SO) 6-foot-5 (195) from Worcester, MA. Ekeh is a 26 year-old combo forward. Nelson spent time in the Air Force. Ekeh wants to major in engineering at the next level. He will have to entertain D2/NAIA because of clock issues. Ekeh is in his second season with the Beavers and averaging 13.6 ppg and 10 rebounds.
Jared Stigall: (SO) 5-foot-9 (150) from Sacramento. Stigall is a two-year starter for the Beavers at the point guard position is receiving interest from Sacramento State, Santa Clara and UC-Santa Barbara. Jared has taken visits to Sacramento State and Santa Clara already. Stigall is getting 11.2 ppg and 7.2 assista a night.
The Beavers have a very promising freshman in Eric Webster, 6-foot-5 (195). Webster attended the Tilton School (MA) last season before starting at American River.
"Eric is a one-footed freak athlete. He can really get after it and create his own shot," said Giorgi.
Webster is averaging 13.8 ppg a night this season.
