Team Focus: Arkansas-Fort Smith

The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith will be heading to the NCAA Division Two ranks this coming fall. The Lions finished their last season in the junior college ranks this past March. Lions head coach Josh Newman informed JucoJunction of some signings yesterday from the Fort Smith, AR school. JucoJunction has the latest on these signings in this article.
Jenirro Bush and Tyrone Hanson both have signed with Jackson State University for next season according to coach Newman. Bush, the #49 ranked player by JucoJunction, received interest from Houston, Wichita State and Southern Mississippi this past spring according to Newman. Bush averaged 14.6 ppg and 5.1 rebounds this past season for the Lions. Jenirro finished his career with 759 career points in 62 games played at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. Bush is a Starkville, MS native.

Hanson, a transfer from the University of Nevada, is a Brooklyn, NY native. Tyrone was dismissed during the season from the Lions club but still managed to average 12.4 ppg and 5.4 rebounds this year. Hanson will head to Jackson State University with his teammate Bush.
LaDustin Williams, (SO) 6-foot-1 (165) from Jonesboro, AR, will stay at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith and play for the Lions two more years and coach Newman. Williams, the #79 ranked player by JucoJunction, averaged 13.6 ppg and 3.5 rebounds this year while shooting 47.5% (165-347) from the floor. Williams is solid Division One prospect and will be a great fit for the Lions when they start play next season in the NCAA Division 2 ranks.
