Team Focus: Central Florida

Central Florida Community College had a solid season and made it to the state tourney. The Patriots finished the season at (22-10) and lost in the first round of the state tourney to eventual champion Chipola College 73-62. Assistant coach Adam Gordon gave JucoJunction an update on some of the sophomores' recruitment.
Ricardo Lewis: (SO) 6-foot-1 (180) from Lake Weir, FL, has committed to Division Two school Valdosta State (GA). Ricardo averaged 10.5 ppg and 3.2 assists this

DeAndre Duncan: (SO) 6-foot-3 (175) from New Orleans, LA, has committed to Division Two school Lynn University (FL). Duncan averaged 16.5 ppg this season and scored 884 career points at Central Florida Community College
Marvin Dibble: (SO) 6-foot-7 (210) from Charlotte, NC, was an All-conference performer this past season for the Patriots.
"Marvin is a big wing player that can do a little bit of everything. He can step outside and shoot the 3 ball and he has very long arms to defend the passing lanes," said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
Dibble has to go the Division Two route according to Gordon. Delta State (MS), Montevallo (AL), Ouachita Baptist (AR) and Valdosta State are showing interest in him. Marvin hit for 10.9 ppg and 5.9 rebounds a outing this past season.
Shahee Martin: (SO) 6-foot-5 (230) from Queens, NY.
"Martin is skilled with the ball and can shoot the three off the dribble," said Swanson.
Shahee made all-conference honors this season is receiving interest from Tarleton State (TX), CW Post (NY), Florida Southern and Florida Tech. Shahee averaged 12.5 ppg and 4.3 rebounds this past season.
Brandon Hickson: (SO) 6-foot-0 (190) from Columbia, SC. Hickson played his freshman season at Stony Brook University (NY). He was also a teammate of Dibble and Martin and New Horizons Christian in Danville, VA a few seasons back.
"Brandon is a left handed point guard who really likes to play up tempo," said Swanson.
Eastern Illinois, Bethune Cookman and UT-Pan American are following him this spring. Hickson averaged 9.6 ppg and 3 assists for the Patriots this year.
