Team Focus: College of Eastern Utah

Earlier this week, we gave you an update on two commitments from the College of Eastern Utah. Today, JucoJunction got a complete rundown on the rest of the Golden Eagle players. First year head coach Chris Craig worked at UTEP with Billy Gillespie and at Arizona Western College for Kelly Green prior to taking over in Utah.
Rafael Moreira: (SO) 6-foot-9 (235) from Brazil.

"Rafael is a very good student, he carries a 3.8 GPA in the classroom. Rafael has very good skills at slashing to the basket for his size," said Craig.
Moreira is getting 8.2 ppg and 6.6 rebounds a outing. He is wide open in the recruiting process.
Aaron England: (SO) 6-foot-5 (195) from West Valley, UT. England signed back in the fall with California-Irvine according to Craig. Aaron a shooting guard will have three years to play at Cal-Irvine next season. He redshirted at Utah State last season. Aaron is averaging 6.6 ppg this season.
The Golden Eagles have two dynamite freshman in Darrington Hobson and Stephen Franklin. Hobson, 6-foot-7 (200) from Las Vegas, NV, played at Decatur Christian School in Illinois last season. Hobson signed with the University of New Mexico before he knew he had to go junior college. Darrington this past weekend had two
big games at the College of Southern Idaho where he scored 37 points and 46 points on back to back nights. Hobson is averaging 18.5 ppg, 8.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
"Darrington is a left-handed small forward that is very versatile and he creates a tough matchup with his skill level. He often brings the ball up the court at times," said Craig.
Franklin, 6-foot-6 (205) from Aurora, CO, signed with Colorado State coming out of high school and actually attended classes at the campus this past summer before being dismissed.
"Stephen is a very tough kid with a great first step and great off the dribble," said Craig.
Stephen is at 10.2 ppg for the Golden Eagles this season. Franklin, a small forward, is a 4/2/4 kid which means he will now have to graduate from junior college to go back to the Division One level.
Deante Burgess, (SO) 6-foot-8 from Detroit, MI, is no longer with the team, but has remained in school all season at CEU. Burgess played at Southwest Tennessee Community College last season. Burgess left the team back in the fall.
