Team focus: Fullerton College

The Fullerton College Hornets are off to a (14-5) season under first year head coach Allen Caveness. Caveness came over to Fullerton last summer from Compton Community College. Justin Carter and Darrian McKinstry joined Caveness at Fullerton College this season and are receiving plenty of attention throughout the country.
Carter, (SO) 6-foot-4 (200) from Gaithersburg, MD, played last season at Compton College for Caveness where he averaged 11.9 ppg and 6.5 rebounds for the Tars. Nebraska, Creighton, UC-Santa Barbara, Colorado State, Pacific, Fullerton, Utah State

and Quinnipiac are keeping tabs on the small forward this spring.
"Justin can stretch a defense, he has the ability to step out and shoot it along with attacking the glass," said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
Justin is averaging 21.6 ppg, 7.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists this season while shooting 52.5% (126-240) from the floor.
McKinstry, (SO) 5-foot-11 (180) from Chicago, IL, played last season at San Bernardino Valley Community College where he 14.9 ppg and 4.7 assists as a freshman.
"The Chicago Hales Franciscan product has a great ability of creating shots for others while being a solid defender. Darian always brings a lot of energy to the floor and good leadership," said Swanson.
UC-Santa Barbara, Wyoming, Central Florida, Pacific and Fresno State are keeping tabs on the point guard this spring. McKinstry is averaging 14.3 ppg, 5.3 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 steals for the Hornets.
Larry DeHughes: (SO) 6-foot-4 (210) from Los Angeles, CA. DeHughes played last season at Compton College and averaged 6.8 ppg.
"Larry really looks to score the ball from 2-3 position," said Swanson.
Larry is getting 9.6 ppg and 4.2 rebounds a night for the Hornets so far this season.
Wayne Andrews: (SO) 6-foot-4 (180) from Compton, CA. Andrews is the third transfer to join Caveness at the school. Wayne is currently hitting for 13.9 ppg and 6 rebounds a night for the Hornets.
"The small forward is very active on the floor with a nice shot release," said Swanson.
Mike Cox: (FR) 6-foot-8 (200) from Alta Loma, CA. Cox is an athletic power forward who needs to add some strength and physically maturity to his frame. Mike is
at 10.7 ppg and 5.1 rebounds this season.
