Team Focus: Globe Tech

Globe Tech Institute lies around in the middle of Manhattan in New York City. Head coach Ken Wilcox led the Knights to the Region Tourney this season before losing to Vincennes University in the District Finals. Coach Wilcox gave JucoJunction an update on some of his sophomores' recruitment.
Rob Robinson: (SO) 6-foot-8 (220) from Oxen Hill, MD: Robinson, a third year player, started off his college career at Georgia State University back in the fall 2005. Rob enrolled at Globe Tech in the spring 2006 and has been a fixture the last two seasons for the Knights. Robinson averaged 17.3 ppg, 11 rebounds and 2.5 assists this past season.

Manhattan, Cincinnati, South Florida, Duquesne, Hofstra, Binghamton and Seton Hall are
calling on the very skilled power forward.
Mike Campbell: (SO) 6-foot-3 (230) from New York, NY:
"Mike is a Charles Barkley type player," said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
Mike was Region 15 Tourney MVP this season. Campbell played his freshman season at Fashion Institute (NY) where he averaged 23 ppg. Mike averaged 15.9 ppg and 9.1 rebounds this past season. Mike may have to graduate in the fall according to Coach Wilcox and try to enroll in school somewhere in January 2009.
Steve Brignol: (SO) 6-foot-5 (205) from Brooklyn, NY: Steve averaged 11.2 ppg and 4.4 rebounds this season.
"Brignol, a wing forward, is a great system player and has a knack for hitting big shots," said Swanson.
Steve will visit St Francis (NY) this coming weekend according to Wilcox.
Victor Garcia: (SO) 6-foot-2 (185) from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: Garcia played under the last name Martinez last season.
"Victor, a third year player, is a slasher deluxe," said Swanson.
Garcia will visit Dowling (NY) this coming weekend.
"Victor was really overlooked on our team with Robinson and Campbell," said Wilcox.
Garcia averaged 9.2 ppg and 4.9 rebounds this season.
