Team Focus: Hill College

The Hill College Rebels are currently (16-8) on the season in Region 5 in Texas. Hill College is located in Hillsboro, TX. The Rebels are coached by Swede Trenkle. Coach Trenkle touched base with JucoJunction today in regard to three of his players from Milwaukee, WI.

Monterale Clark, (FR) 6-foot-10 (200), prepped at Ware Academy Prep last season in Atlanta before enrolling at Hill College. Monterale will head back to his hometown and play at Marquette University of the Big East Conference in 2010-2011 for the Golden Eagles.

Clark is currently averaging 16.6 ppg and 8.8 rebounds this season for the Rebels. Monterale will return to Hill College next season.

"Monterale really liked the idea of going home and playing in the Big East Conference. Monterale is very athletic and long with good court skills," said Trenkle.

Teammate Quincy Owens, a (SO) 6-foot-8 (235) power forward, signed this past fall with Pittsburg State in Kansas. Owens is averaging 11.1 ppg and 6.5 rebounds this season for the Rebels. Owens prepped out of high school at Harmony Community School in Cincinnati, OH where he signed with Seton Hall University before not qualifying academically.

Henry White, (SO) 6-foot-6 (200), is a small forward who played his freshman season at Marshalltown Community College in Iowa. Henry is averaging 9.8 ppg, 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists this season for the Rebels. White is receiving interest from Santa Clara, High Point, Texas State and California Irvine this spring according to Trenkle.

The Rebels are currently in 2nd place in conference play this season. JucoJunction will keep an eye on the Rebels the rest of the way.
